I am a Calgary therapist trained in Marriage & Family Therapy. I received a Masters of Arts degree from NABS (now called Sioux Falls Seminary) in 1993 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta in 1988. I am also an associate member of PACCC (Professional Association of Canadian Christian Counsellors).
Calgary is a fast-growing city where the pressures of work, relationships and everyday life can quickly become overwhelming. In a city of over a million people it can be easy to feel lost, confused or insignificant.
As a Calgary therapist and Calgarian myself, I understand these pressures personally and know that no struggle is hopeless or insignificant. My goal is to help you overcome your personal struggles by teaching you to listen to yourself in new ways and unburden yourself of extreme beliefs, emotions, or sensations that can constrain your life.
My approach to counselling is known as the Internal Family Systems Therapy model. It is one of the fastest growing approaches developed over the last 20 years. This approach is very effective in dealing with the entire spectrum of individual and relational concerns, including couple's therapy.
